I REMEMBER BRENDA AS A NICE, DOWN TO EARTH PERSON, I REALLY DON'T RECALL HAVING ANY CLASSES WITH HER OR KNOWING HER THAT WELL. HOWEVER, I RAN ACROSS HER MOTHER AROUND 1996 OR 1997 AT A CONVIENCE STORE IN CALHOUN. SHE TOLD ME THE NEWS OF BRENDA'S COURAGEOUS BOUT WITH CANCER AND THAT SHE WAS BURIED IN HER PROM DRESS. SHE WILL BE MISSED. SINCERLY, JON HAZELWOOD
I never really knew Brenda myself, not personally anyway, but she seemed like a very nice person. I know kids are cruel when you are in school and that's sad. But her death at any early age just goes to show you that you never know when it's your turn. May she rest in peace and bless her family.
I too do not recall having her in any classes; however, given my line of work, I have seen many people suffer with cancer. These people have been the most couragous people I have ever met. It's a shame they must lose their battles. It is my prayer that we will someday find better and more successful ways to battle this disease, as well as, others. God Bless her and her family.
