Audrey Newman was born on March 14, 1963 in Logan, Utah. She passed away on December 2, 1978 in Afton, Wyoming. Audrey is the daughter of Joseph Reuben Newman Carma Stringham. Rest in peace Audrey.
Audrey was a sweet girl with a gentle spirit. She had a quick smile and an infectious laugh. The winter before Audrey passed away was a special time for all of the girls in Grover who knew her and learned to love her.
Audrey died of cancer or something like that didn't she? I remember going to the Afton jewelry store that her dad owned and she would be there sometimes after school. It was a huge reality check that she would get sick and die at such a young age. I am glad that Nancy posted about her because that reminded me of the group of girls that were her friends. It seems Kerry Hirschi was very kind to her too. It is always tender to think of such young lives being over way too soon. I never liked going into the jewelry store much after that. Audrey, you made people smile!
Audrey was one of my closest friends in junior high school and high school. I lost a great friend when she died after a short battle with brain cancer. I think of her often and she is greatly missed.

I never knew Audrey very well, another regret.
