Male' Lani passed away April of 2006. She was living with her husband Tim Carbullido and son Jay in Hawaii. She worked as a civil servant with the Navy.
Lani...my friend, my sister at heart..fond memories that I will never forget, bbqs,garage sales, and the welcoming of the New Year since 2001, even them misunderstanding debates we both toss around at each other. Love it when you tell pare "basta fan demalanya", or " hu hu adai juan ". But most I miss you so much my Big little Sister..always a friend, a brother...
You will always have a special place in my heart as a sister, a dear friend and classmate.
There's just so much I wish I could have said, so many things we could have done in our later years...
I will never forget your long flowing hair, the brightness in your eyes, your smile and confidence, sitting around your house doing nothing, and the laughter... the many laughs we had as we dealt with what we thought was at the time 'serious stuff' when in fact it was simply high school drama.
So here's to you Leilani! As life is so precious, we should all learn to appreciate it and realize that life is truly just a passage through time and time a mark in history... So rest dear Sister until all of our paths cross again, your memory and all the things we did as children will always be vivid in my heart and mind.
