Chico was always a jokester in high school. He was a great friend but definitely liked to live life to the fullest. We had a lot of fun during JROTC. Rest in peace my brother. You will be missed! The Class of 1986 JROTC Leadership: Chico Quinata, Jesse Herrera, Greg Babauta, and Paul Tyquengco, and Karen Salas.

I can't believe Chico's gone. There were rumors about this but no one would confirm or deny it, so didn't know what to believe. I guess this confirms it.

Chico was a great guy! Great sense of humor and just a really friendly person. He will be greatly missed!

Chico was a wonderful and delightful friend. ROTC was never the same with him and the crew. Our prayers go out the his brother and family.

My Brother Chico is surely missed. You all are right, he is a fun, loving person who ALWAYS made us laugh. He will always be in my heart. He was the first Chamorro I meant on my first trip to San Diego when I was a 7th grader, so we go back even before high school.

Love ya Chic!

Weve had our up and downs but we were always friends. Our last conversation was not good and we left on bad terms.A couple years past since then but we talked and all was good,we laughed, smoked, and drank. He moved to Hawaii and lived there for a while.I met Champ and he told me Chico died.I kept on thinking about all the crazy things all of us did together. He will be missed rest in peace BRO.

Chico, ah we would always get into trouble with the nuns at Mt. Carmel, always talking me into picking on Denise Sulla, oh and Math Class our favorite class time, fooling around with our answers of course being wrong 120% of the time lol - Chico was a brother, a best friend in my younger years, and then we met up in Oceanview once again, and BAM! out of all places, we were in the JROTC a place of discipline, I wondered, how would we manage to pull this through when Discipline was not our thing. At the end, we both left as Officers, again Mike is right, JROTC was different with him around, I can remember when he would joke with Karen and Lupe, Karen would yell sarge and Chico would panic, I can still hear him now, hey sarge, sarge uhm Karen so and so lol.. Rest my friend, you did your part, it was all a human experience we needed to pass as higher beings.

Gus
