Nice blast from the past, Doug, thanks! Our reunion is shaping up nicely, and the reunion committee is working on not only the Sat AUG 15th dinner and dance at the Pyramid, but also some great activities with families earlier on Saturday and Friday night. The whole weekend should be a great time. To let everyone know, we will not likely have paper invitations, just e-mails and this website as our clearinghouse. It's going to be a wonderful time!

I did not remember that that was our song...too much time has gone by to retain that bit of info!! Thanks, that song will be added! So, did everyone have a good St. Patty's day?

Hi Kim & Derek neat site! I hope all is going well for you. I would like to suggest some Beastie Boys songs from their album Licensed to Ill (1986), like “No Sleep Till Brooklyn” – thoughts?

The reunion committee is just beginning to track everyone down and get them on this site. Please don't be put off of joining because of the missing people. We are actually in contact with 100 or so in other forums and we will hopefully have every one of them signed up as soon as they get our messages.
Kim, I don't know what was popular in the 80's? Depeche Mode, ummm yeah I've gone blank I'll get back to you on this after I've had some sleep. :P

Okay, Kim, I'll bite. You know you are a La Cueva grad when...your diploma says you graduated from La Cueva? :P

Mr. McGill- When is the Golf "expidition"? On Friday, Saturday or Sunday? If we want to do something like that let me know, I ran a few Scramble Tournaments in San Jose when I worked for Abbott Labrotories. I can help out!

Steven, if you really want to do something like that it would probably have to be on Sunday. It's not a bad idea.

Kim Campanozzi (McGill)

Oh Steve, I don't know...Derek really doesn't like to golf...maybe you could talk him into it...you can contact him later today, (after he's done golfing!)

04/18/09 10:17 AM #21

Derek McGill

If we do the golf, what about Friday morning?

04/18/09 03:30 PM #22

Steven Sams

Friday seems to not conflict, and Sunday our old asses may not be recovered! Kim/D- Anyway to put a sign up sheet on this site?

04/18/09 04:03 PM #23

Kim Campanozzi (McGill)

Steve, I did put it in as one of the questions on the survey...so far, as of today, there are 18 people who are interested in playing golf! When it gets closer I will give you the names and then you can go from there to set it up--if you don't mind...thanks!

Wow, I'm REALLY BAD at Pac Man and the siren noise makes me all nervous so then I play even worse. :(

04/19/09 09:43 AM #25

Kim Campanozzi (McGill)

Kelly, you may be bad at playing pac man but I hear you kick a** when you kereoke!

Kelly Sypher (Billingsley)

I think Kelly and Kim should karaoke a duet, something like, "Love lifts us up where we belong.." And how about, You might be a La Cueva '89 grad if:
1. You fondly recall peeling tumbleweeds off your windshield after school.
2. The words "Closed Campus" still make you cringe
3. You still remember people asking you, “So is it true that La Cueva has escalators and a shopping mall inside?”

04/19/09 07:05 PM #28

Kelly Sypher (Billingsley)

I still think my "You might be a La Cueva '89 grad if..." was better. :P JK
As far as a duet, let me sleep on it. ;)

Kelly, I am practicing this song for us to sing together...I am getting reallly good at the chorus portion!

"Close your eyes, give me your hand darling, do you feel my heart beating, do you understand, do you feel the same, am I only dreaming..or is this burning and eternal flame??? Say my name, sun shine through the rain...life's so lonely and you somehow ease the pain...I don't want to loose this feeling..."

Kim Campanozzi (McGill)

Mr. Chris Westphall, just saw that you signed on! Yippeee! Derek misses you so much--he talks about you all the time, our kids even know about you! I am so glad that you are thinking about attending the reunion! Wow, three kids, you've been busy! Can't wait to catch up with you and Kristin!

04/19/09 11:50 PM #31

Kelly Sypher (Billingsley)

He He That's so funny that you know the words to that song! :P The Bangles right?

04/20/09 11:02 AM #32

Kelly Sypher (Billingsley)

I got it, Kim! How about "We are the champions" by Queen? :P

04/20/09 01:04 PM #33

Kelly Sypher (Billingsley)
