Hi, just found the site and wanted to check in, too bad someone else won the Gardunios deal. They have no real food out here in Virginia.

I am trying to determine if I can make the reunion in August. I have committed to a long-term substitute teaching position beginning 8/10 and getting to ABQ that weekend is going to be difficult...but I really do want to be there!!! Keep you posted! Shanna (Wilmot) Roeske

As children of the '80's , you might appreciate this link to one of the funniest "music" videos I've seen in a while. Bonnie Tyler may never forgive these people...

32 days and counting.. 20 years has flown by... does any one have any old pics of the Band, Swing Chir or the speech and debate team.. i lost all mine in a bad break up.. oy vey..

just a question.. and this may be odd, is there a tour of the school planned.. i havnt been inside the school in 17 years...

07/13/09 11:33 AM #70

Monisha Sopori (Crisell)

Hey Chris! There is no official tour scheduled but I am working on calling the school to find out if they would allow a type of "open house" on saturday morning, for alunmni to wander in and check it out. The only thing at LCHS that looks different to me is the front office (not that exciting!)

cool beans. I so can’t wait. we should take a group picture in front of the school. Didn’t we do one of the senior class pictures in the grassy area out front?

So, I have to ask.. what are some of your (the entire group)favorite/memorable memories at LCHS.

some of mine include:

having the same principle that my dad had..that was just odd…

realizing at the end of my freshman year at EHS that I had no friends coming to LCHS… that kinda sucked… (I was really shy back then)

those speech and debate team trips, especially the one to Durango ..

that time I tried to do L and D debate, I was thrown in at the last minute. Getting a crash course on how to debate..

the first time that the Big Bad Bear band took the field to compete...

the time my parents chaperoned the band trip to Las Cruses, and they were the big hit on the bus..

the band trip to San Diego...

the MAD crush I had on a drill team member that sat next in Latin class... she will remain nameless.. but hey at least she kind of humored me back then…(wait was that a crush on her, or her Football player bf… (hey, I may not have been out back then, but still a boy can dream cant he)

the times the band was the pre dawn entertainment for the balloon fiesta..(and the views of the fiesta from the marching band field)

the dance troupe that I was a part of and Swing Dance routine that was performed at school assemblies.

those lunch times I had to help run the Pizza stand for speech, band, and choir.. dang I missed a LOT of class back then.

Mr. Jordan trying to have the band learn TWO different Marching shows in one year..

my CRAPPY audition to be the Mascot.. what the heck was I thinking...that was just bad…

being on stage in ANYTHING GOES...granted I was in the choir, but still...it was way cool.

the football game were we had the incident (made city wide news).. if you don’t remember.. you weren’t there.. let’s just say it wasn’t a good thing that happened...

doing "Bent" with John, and making it to State..oh wait that’s right, we DIDNT make state because if those dang nuns...(yes I am STILL bitter 20 years later.. we SHOULD have made state, we SO could have won state.. )

and of course hearing my name at graduation, and NOT falling down the PIT stairs..(and not having to play pomp and circumstance over and over and over)

I’m sure more will hit me in the next few weeks...

and I did it all without my yearbooks!!

the class of 88 gift.. the bear, the controversy.. you all know what I mean..

07/13/09 07:13 PM #75

Sooooooo...

more memories (misty water color meeeemories...)

there were NO houses around the LCHS..

I had the BEST senior year English teacher..Bud...

I SUCKED at math classes…

all the dances I went to (ever dance I went to with a different date).. even the ones that we had the first year in the main concourse....

going to the EHS senior prom with my date from Sandia High School.. (what the heck was I thinking)...

I just got back from Chicago where I attended Kendall Taylor's wedding. He confirmed that he won't be going to the 20-year reunion, but he's planning to go to the 100-year one.

07/16/09 01:22 PM #78

Kim Campanozzi (McGill)

We just lined up a professional photographer to be at the Pyramid! They will be taking candids all night plus we'll have a back drop set up(just like at Prom)! Take advantage of it and get professional pictures taken of you and your date and/or friends!!! If you want to buy the pictures it will be cheaper to purchase them that evening. Also, there will be a link so that everyone will be able to view the pictures taken that night on line(free) and you will be able to order any from that site at any time.

ECCKKKKKK.. picture..thats kinda scary. That will be fun though...

07/18/09 02:27 PM #80

Monisha Sopori (Crisell)

The photogrpaher is more photojournalistic this time, so here is is your chance to re-do your prom photo, different photo style, different date (well, a few of you have the same date, right Kim McGill?).
Does anyone have any special music requests for the DJ? If there is a song you HAVE to hear (or sing!), let us know!

07/20/09 03:08 AM #81

Kelly Sypher (Billingsley)

Maybe Chris should MC, he seems to have the best memory....

07/21/09 11:30 PM #83

Kim Campanozzi (McGill)

I heard a rumor that some people are planning on "crashing" the reunion by just showing up after we're done eating. Well, that won't be possible. Everyone will be checked in at the door, throughout each of the events to make sure that they paid. It's just like a wedding...our venues need to know how many people to expect.
