Marilyn P. Sampson, 63, passed away Friday, March 26, 2010.
Funeral: 11:30 a.m. Thursday in Greenwood Chapel. Interment: Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Greenwood Funeral Home.
Marilyn was born Feb. 19, 1947, in Albuquerque, N.M., to Richard L. and Juanita Chappell. Marilyn graduated from Highland High School in Albuquerque. After graduation, Marilyn worked as a beautician for several years.
On Sept. 29, 1967, Marilyn married her loving husband of 43 years, Ray Sampson. In 1968 she gave birth to her only child, Raylene Sampson. She was a very devoted mother to Raylene and she supported her in her softball adventures for over 13 years. In 1974, Marilyn moved to Texas and worked for over 23 years as the municipal court clerk in Haltom City. After retiring from Haltom City, she was currently working part time for the University of North Texas Health Science Center.
Marilyn had a passion for music and singing, dedicating herself to her church choir for many years. Marilyn had a special love for her entire family. She enjoyed holiday gatherings with her brothers', nieces' and nephews' families. Christmas was her favorite time of the year. She decorated her home to look like a fancy department store. She loved to celebrate the birth of Christ! Marilyn also had a love for traveling with her husband and enjoying photography.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors: Husband, Ray Sampson; daughter, Raylene Sampson; brothers, Howard Chappell and wife, Sandy, Wayne Chappell and wife, Jacky; and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces.

Marilyn,Charlie Lujan here.It's so sad to see my good friends on this page.We had alot of classes together.I remember one time you let me copy some answers off your paper in english.
