Larry, Charlie Lujan here. I was sadden to see your name in this colum. I remember having some classes together. I remember playing football at the park on weekends. Hey one of these days we'll met again.

Larry....I was grieved to learn of your passing.....I have fond memories of playing football with you and Bill Cooksey...at the parks....I remember when we were at UNM....going out and having fun....after I returned

from Vietnam we hooked up at some Lobo Football games.......and going to the Hilton Bolero Lounge

Bob.....Larry worked as a cop for APD back in the 70's...and later was working for the State of New Mexico...when I lost contact with him in 80's...after I came
back from Vietnam we would have a beer together at Hilton.....Ed El Portal Lounge...go toLobo football games...I remember you playing football with us at the park in hs...

I was not aware of his passing till several years ago on hhs website for class of 65

Larry went over to Texas Tec. and earned his doctorate and was on their faculity for several years.

He had prostate cancer and went fast. His father died of the same thing several years later. Bob.

Lee and Bob,

Thank you for the update.  When you move to a new place going into the 10th grade, the transition can be difficult.  Larry's early friendship made all the difference, and we remained close through 3 years at Highland. The park was the middle ground between his house at the bottom of the hill and mine around the corner at the top.

in Naco...played golf....had meal together...
talked old times....football games at park..
with you guys Bill Cooksey....Chuck McGuire...
Wayne Harley.....

Rick. (HHS64) spent two tours USArmy in Vietnam
....came back to UNM....received BS...MS..
joined Navy...sent him UNM Medical School...
12 years with Navy..joined NASA.....went to europe
..worked at Star City,Russia Nasa....retired
this summer with NASA in Houston....
