I'm sorry for the passing of Carder Vaughn. There were so many of us I do not remember him. May he rest in peace. 💜

Carder was part of our National Thespians group with Anne Shannon.  Good guy!  He was especially nice to my Mom and always made a point of visiting with her at our earlier class reunions.  Rest in peace, Carder.

This death was difficult to assimilate.  He touched my life in a variaety of ways and provided me with a handful of memories I cherish,  I went with Carder most our sophomore year at UNM.   He was a delightful person to be with.  Great dancer,  nicely odd sense of humor, semi-pro ice dancer. and was a good person.  We were not in love but liked each other very much.  The summer of '67, we worked at McDonald Douglas Aircraft with 10 others from UNM; a friend got all of us jobs there.  As a group, we worked on one project:  war planes for Isreal.  Obviously a seriously imp. job.  Carder was asigned the job of filing blueprints after they had gone through my hands.  Each documant had both an alphabetical and numerical  listing.  Carder filed them all backwards both ways.  Started at the back of the bottom drawer with a's and their highest number and worked to the lowest number in the z's, starting always at the back of the drawer.  I had just discovered this debacle when I was called to the office to meet the delegation from Isreal.  They wanted to see the documents Carder had filed.  Of course they did.  I wanted to throttle him but settled for making Carder find what he had filed.  I broke up Carder because I had met the man I later married.  Really upset his mom, who had been pushing me to marry Carder.  I don't think he was interested.  When I was 30, Michael & I rented Adele's (mom) house and his younger brother did yard work for us.   A lot of memories, all tinged with the friendship we enjoyed.

Carder will be missed, who & what he was will be missed.
