Carmen (Savedra) Wells – 60-year-old resident of Woodward (OK), died Sept. 12, 2006 at the Woodward Regional Hospital. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 15, 2006 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church with Rev. Scott Boeckman presiding. Burial will follow at the Elmwood Cemetery under the direction of the Zwanziger Funeral Home. Carmen (Savedra) Wells was born Sept. 14, 1945 at Albuquerque, NM. to Richard and Vivian (Reurza) Savadra. She attended high school at Valley High at Albuquerque, NM. Carmen loved to oil paint, painting landscaping and trees and water scenes. She enjoyed working in her garden and loved to be with her husband and children and grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Eugene M. Wells, Jr. of the home, Woodward; by two daughters, Victoria L McGough, Marion, IL, and Cassandra Ann Morris and husband Keith, Moore, Okla.; mother, Vivian Savadra; two sisters, Enedine Hook, Los Lunas, NM and Rosemary Devers, Albuquerque, NM; by grandchildren Dean Scott Brawley, Brandon Dean Wheeler, Devon Monore Wheeler, Felisha Jean McGough and Trevor Keith Morris and a host of family and friends. Carmen was preceded in death by her father, and a grandson, Lucas Wayne Brawley. Woodward News posted Thursday, September 14, 2006.
