William Donald Santillanes

William Donald Santillanes died Monday, May 2, 2002, in Albuquerque at the age of 54. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Arturo and Benerita Gutierrez, and Luis and Rosa Santillanes, also by his brothers Freddie and Eddie Santillanes. He is survived by his father, Jose A. (Billy) Santillanes and mother Ellen Santillanes; four brothers, David L. Santillanes and wife, Marlene of Albuq; Fred Santillanes of Albuquerque; Ronnie Santillanes and wife Roxanne of Albuquerque, and Jason Rodarte of Albuquerque; four sisters, Joann Rael and husband, Johnny of Albuquerque (sic), Bennie Romero and husband Cajey of Albuquerque, Janell Flamenco of Albuquerque, and Audrey Guerra of Brea, CA. His children, Donald Cortez, Russell Santillanes, Jude Santillanes, Ciera Santillanes and Olivia Santillanes. One special uncle, Nestor Gutierrez and numerous aunts and uncles, and cousins. Funeral services for William Donald Santillanes will be held on Monday at Our Lady of Guadalupe where the Mass will be celebrated at 12:00 noon; also a viewing will be held at Church at 11:30 a.m. prior to Mass. Burial will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Nestor Gutierrez, Anthony Santillanes, Solomon Santillanes, Kevin Santillanes, Phillip Armijo and Jim Plummer. Honorary pallbearers will be Marc Lovato, Kenneth Santillanes, Orlando Santillanes, Joseph Santillanes and Eddie Santillanes. A Rosary for William Donald Santillanes will be held on Sunday at 7:00 p.m. with visitations from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Salazar & Sons Mortuary 400 Third St. SW.
