
Jay Chambers - FHHS '76, when he was commissioned into the Army - Photo from January 1981

Jay Chambers passed away Monday, April 26, 2010 from Lou Gehrig’s Disease. The Viewing was held in Fairfax, VA with the Memorial Mass at Good Shepherd Catholic Church. Jay was a full colonel in the U.S. Army and left behind four boys and one girl. The death notice was placed in the Washington Post.
Louis Genuario was a neighbor of the Chambers family and a personal friend of Jay’s. He sent the following information and photo to me:

Jay Chambers, FHHS Class of 76, passed away April 26th. He was 52. You may have known his brother Chris from Ft. Hunt Youth Baseball. Jay was a career army officer, retired as a Colonel. He has been suffering with ALS for five years. I'll send you a picture tomorrow so we can let the FHHS Community know.
