DECEASED ALUM: LISA REVERE, FHHS '84
It is with a heavy heart and many tears that I share the passing of Lisa Revere (Class of 1984). Lisa passed away on Monday, November 29th. Lisa was my best friend since middle school. She was a bridesmaid in my wedding, helped my daughter write her essays to get into college and was always a phone call away to help me. She lived an extraordinary life from working with Outward Bound in NYC and Europe, coaching with the CIA and Mars Corporation and recently started personal life coaching and working towards finishing her PhD. She loved adventure and was never daunted about trying anything.
She led a women’s leadership camel excursion in the Mid-East, coached inner city NY teenagers in survival weekends in the city and country (which many had never seen farm animals in person), went on a two-week dog sledding trip on the Canadian border and for her 50th birthday did a survival week in the dessert with only a backpack of supplies. She asked if I wanted to go, but I could not fathom taking such a trip! She lived in England, Sweden, NYC and her final residence was in Alaska. She loved people and had the ability to engage anyone, anywhere! When she was back in DC and would get together it was as if we were never apart. She lived the life she loved and was a beautiful person inside and out! I will miss her immensely.
She is survived by her parents, Drs. Robert & Virginia Revere, sister Ellie and her brothers Andy and Rob. At this time, there is not a memorial service planned, however her family has set up a FB page for friends to add memories and pictures, please join to add your fond memories. Additionally, donations on behalf of Lisa can be made to the NYC Outward Bound School
