Rebecca Everest Obituary

Rebecca Everest, 52, of Raleigh died on Wednesday October 19, 2005 with her family by her side. Born on October 27, 1952 in Hazard Kentucky she is the daughter of Dewight and Clara Sims also of Raleigh.

Rebecca will be remembered for her love of art and stone carving, as well as her love for her family.

She worked for four years as a receptionist for the Carolina Country Club when she and her family first came to Raleigh from Alexandra Virginia in 1994, she then later went on to work as an administrative receptionist for Oberlin Road Pediatrics Medical Group upon the time of her illness. Rebecca having been brought up in a military home had the opportunity to travel to and live in many different states.

Rebecca was preceded in death by her brother, Darryl Sims and is survived by her son, Jason Carlyle Everest of Raleigh and her parents and caretakers, Dewight and Clara Sims of Raleigh, as well as many other relatives in Florida, Kentucky, and Arkansas. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Friday October 21, 2005 from 7-9 p.m.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday October 22, 2005 at 2 p.m. at the Assembly of God Church on 3249 Blue Ridge Road with burial to follow at Raleigh Memorial Park.

Timothy B. "Timmy" Smith (1969)

Becky was a wonderful girl. I will never forget her.
She allways made me smile. I loved her. The last
time I got to talk her was in the early 70s. If anybody
Has details about her passing please let me know.
