It is with great sadness that I tell you that my brother, Bill Vogt (FHHS Class of 1970), passed away early this morning (8/15/24). He has had a very difficult time in Westwood Nursing and Rehabiliatation for the last several months and it gives me some comfort to know that he is not suffering anymore and is at peace.
I was able to visit with him in Florida last Wednesday through Saturday and was able to talk to him on FaceTime yesterday afternoon and blow him some kisses. I thank all my friends and family for their support during these last difficult month.

Heartfelt condolences to all. I remember Bill simply as a good guy. I'm certain we interacted as friends a lot at FHHS, though my memory of times 50+ years ago are quite hazy. All the best to his family.

Bill was a good friend in High School and a couple of years ago I contacted him after seeing his name in a reunion message. Bill introduced me to the Rolling Stones in his basement where we played pool. We might or might not have had one or two beers before our legal drinking age. In High School he drove a Volvo that could have doubled for a Sherman tank and he enjoyed driving it. We were in DeMolay together, with a few older friends Doug Clark and Bill Bass. We had some good times and Bill was always very supportive.
We lost touch over the years as I have with many old friends. We planned to get together in Naples, FL this last year but he did not feel well enough to make the trip. I attemped to contact him a couple of months ago and was not able. I feared for the worst.

Bill and I were school acquaintences, in some classes together, and we always said "hey" to each other. I got the sense that he was quiet, with a lot going on behind that quietness, including a sense of humor. My condolences to his loved ones, and rest in peace, Bill! Jim Vitt
