Paul Joseph Herbst, 53, of Fredericksburg passed away Monday, Feb. 9, 2015, at his home.

Mr. Herbst was a Reiki Shaman and had worked in the insurance field, most recently at Geico. He is survived by two daughters, Meghan and Katharine Herbst; one grandchild, Karolien; brother Mark Herbst; sister Diane Illch; two nieces, Dawn and Elizabeth; and two nephews, Joel and Cory. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Doris Herbst.

A memorial gathering will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.
