Bruce Barker Britton (63) of Annandale, Virginia passed away suddenly from heart failure on Friday, August 31, 2012.
Bruce was born on July 12, 1949 in Washington, D.C. and grew up in the Edsall Park area of Alexandria Virginia. He was preceded in death by his parents Madilyn Flynn and Arthur E. Britton, Jr. and his brother Arthur (Jeep) E. Britton III.
Bruce graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in Alexandria and from East Carolina University with a B.S. in Geology. Bruce had a long career as a Defense contractor and was also a retired Chief Petty Officer in the U.S. Navy Reserve. Bruce most recently worked as a Systems Engineer at BAE Systems but was always a Cartographer at heart.
Bruce is survived by his wife Shelli, and his three children, Billy, Jennifer and Devon Britton.
