BS poli sci U of Tenn. Lots of hiking on the AT and fishing in the Smokies. Surfed Hatteras to Wilmington 'til late 30's. Mate and Captain on 45 & 23 charter boats. Broker Titan Capital Corp. Interpretive ranger with NC Parks at Ft. Macon civil war site. Teacher middle and high schools. MA history, MEd education ECU. School district technology director setting up first networks. Doctorate Qualitative Research UNCG. Principal of several elementary schools and high school. Staff developer in Paideia Seminar teaching. Adjunct teaching Humanities and Intellectual History in community college, Golden Gate U. & ECU. Greeter and Communion team organizer at church. Church Men's group raising funds for ecumenical outreach locally. Visit daughter and family in Baltimore often (6 1/2 and 2 1/2). Stay on the water year around in our flats skiff chasing flounder, redfish, greys, specks, drum, sheepshead, cobia, Spanish, etc. Visit John Driscoll in Misoula MT and trout fish "river runs through it" waters. See the Bears who escaped DC to a great river place in New Bern. Just lovin' being a coastal TarHeel since 1972!

Enjoyed TJ the first years seeing it all come together. Freshman class president. Dances, Young Life, fishing stories with Coach Ware, girlfriends, pep rallies, cheerleaders spelling Colnoils at early pep rally.McConnel morning announcements, Civitans though short lived, undefeated jv ball champs, surfing with Vardy at Ocean City & Indian River, blue shirts at ball games, snow days at Lynch's Hill, Visnick on the prowell, getting that license, Brickskeller & Bavarian, smoke from DC riots, and so on.
