Sara Maline Lunsford (best known as Sally Taylor) passed away peacefully on February 22, after a battle with liver cancer and heart failure. She is survived by her children, Sara Taylor and Gabriel Taylor, her grandchildren Sara Maline and Robert Jones, her sisters Margaret Carpenter and Barbara Ziff, and her previous husband Bob Taylor. Sally was a lifelong horsewoman, and ran Mountain Hollow Farm in Massies Mill for over thirty years, training horses and teaching children how to ride. She founded the Mountain Skyline Pony Club and was a founding member of the Oak Ridge Fox Hunt Club. She ran the Sunshine School for preschoolers for fifteen years. Sally was also an artist, a musician, a songwriter, and a gardener. She was able to see the humor in any situation, and never let the facts get in the way of a good story. A memorial gathering will be held later in the spring at Mountain Hollow Farm.
