Deborah and I were never great friends but she was very important to me because she invited me to my first girl-boy party. At that time in my life, being included was the kindest thing anyone could do for me. If your kids or grandkids ever throw a part, remember to have them invite the "strange" kids that otherwise would never have been included. She always worn her hair in a long ponytail stretching down to her belt.
Deborah was a very dear friend. We were always doing things together. Yes Lance, I do remember her parties. We lost touch after high school when she moved to Florida. But I never forgot her, she was so nice to everyone.
It is so sad to see that Debbie had passed. I wanted to see her and tell her how much I enjoyed her company in high school. There are some people that help you become a better person and she was one of them. She never said anything unkind about anyone and did such nice things for people. I remember One day we took some flowers to the Assistant Principal’s wife, who was in Fairfax Hospital. We didn’t know her but somehow Debbie heard she was very sick, so off we go. Debbie walked into that hospital room all smiles and sunshine and brightened that room. This was probably part of a long list of nice things she did. I certainly enjoyed my time with her and am glad I knew her.
