Dennis Lee Reeves died April 4, 2009 in a Corpus Christi hospital following a short illness. He was 56. Dennis was born August 22, 1952 in Alice to Clayton and Vonda Reeves.
A 1970 graduate of Alice High School, he was an All-Around athlete in football, baseball & track, a 1970 Texas High School All-Around Champion and competed in the 1970 National High School Finals Rodeo in Fargo, ND.
Dennis enjoyed his three grandchildren and fishing with his dad. He spent his working years as a heavy truck and crane operator in the Texas oilfields.
Memorial services were conducted April 9, 2009 at the First Baptist Church in Alice. Other survivors include brothers James A. Reeves and John David Reeves; his dad, "Red" Reeves of Alice and two daughters, Amy and Lindsey.

I was working at a ranch out of Divine, Texas when Dennis passed away and I didn't know about his death until I saw Jimmy a while back. He told me that he had passed away and I was sorry that I had missed it. I didn't get much news at that ranch unless someone called me to let me know. Dennis and I shared many time together sharing a beer or two while talking bout Coyote Football. I guess that he is leading the way for Henry Villarreal again.
