Robert Raymond Keliehor, Sr.
December 30, 1953 - July 2, 2025
Robert Raymond Keliehor, Sr., 71, passed away at his home on July 2, 2025 from right-sided heart failure. In his final months, he was surrounded by what brought him the greatest joy- his two children and 6 grandchildren while visiting his daughter, Christine in Frisco and his son, Ray in Bentonville. Bob was the youngest of seven children born to James Albert and Elizabeth Mrazek Keliehor on December 30, 1953 in Alice, Texas.
Bob was active in the Boy Scouts and was an Eagle Scout. He graduated from Alice High School in 1972, where he dedicated his high school years for the Alice Coyotes. He then attended Texas Tech University on a football scholarship and was a member of the PIKE fraternity.
Bob was a kind, gentle, and patient soul with a heart of gold. He had an incredible memory and loved sharing stories from the past, especially when it came to history, sports, and family traditions. He could recall details with remarkable clarity and always had a way of making history come alive in conversation. He was an avid football fan and followed college football- especially Texas Tech.
In retirement, Bob enjoyed time at his lake house viewing south Texas sunsets, sharing fishing stories, helping neighbors, and catching up with friends old and new. He had a gift for making people feel welcome, and his presence brought warmth and laughter to every gathering.
He is survived by his son, Ray Keliehor and wife Erika of Bentonville, Arkansas; daughter, Christine Visosky and husband Adam of Frisco. He had six grandchildren whom he cherished and adored: Madison and Avery Keliehor; Claire, Kate, Connor, and Cole Visosky- who knew him affectionately as “Grand Bob”; sister, Annette (Jack “Olen”) Starr of Alice; brothers, Tom Keliehor of Seabrook, and Mike (Peggy) Keliehor of Hitchcock. He was preceded in death by his brothers James (Jim) Keliehor, John Keliehor, and Billy Keliehor.
