Karen G. Huey (Lee) - Class Of 1969 VIEW PROFILE

Karen G. Lee, of Orange Grove, Texas, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 after a long hard-fought battle with cancer. 

She was born on January 20, 1950 in Raymondville, Texas to Otis and Frances Huey.  

Karen worked at the First Community Bank for 25 years and a total of over 40 years in the banking industry. She was a kind-hearted and giving person. She made a living by what she got, but she made a life by what she gave. She was a friend to everybody in town. She treasured spending time with her family and her many pets. She loved to watch her shows, she loved to fish and bowling. She had a strong spirit that never gave up, and she will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. 

Karen always be in the hearts of her loving husband of 50 years, Dennis R. Lee; her daughters, Sandy (Buddy) Surber, Dusti Clemence, and Misti Schneider; her eight grandchildren, Tiffany Adams, Sydney Surber, Bo Surber, Dillon Clemence, Zachary Clemence, Wyatt Clemence, Hannah Schneider, and Trent Schneider; two great-grandchildren, Crash Adams and Blaze Adams; her mother, Frances Huey, five sisters and two brothers.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with Family Receiving Friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., on Friday, May 24, 2019 at Holmgreen Mortuary Chapel.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at Holmgreen Mortuary Chapel. Interment will follow at Alice Cemetery. 

Arrangements are entrusted to Holmgreen Mortuary, 2061 E. Main St., Alice, Texas.

Richard Gonzalez (1969)

Just wanted to extend my condolences to the family of Karen. I graduated with her 1969; however since I'm a latino I never knew her. Such was the culture back then.
