Allen was a sargent in the United States Marine Corps and is buried at Houston National Cemetery . Allen and I were fellow scouts in Troop 791 and he was one of the goofiest persons I've ever known. He would do *anything* for a laugh. I was shocked when he entered the Marines, but met his dad several times afterward and he was very proud of Allen.
