Allegan, MI, died Monday, May 19, 2008 at his home. Mr. Morey was born February 22, 1969 in Allegan, the son of Larry and Joyce (Haist) Morey. He had worked for Charter Communications, Allegan Tubular and Christian Oil. Surviving are his wife, Amy (Shears); 4 children, Kathleen Kennedy of Pullman, Kyle Morey, Kirsten Shears-Morey, and Karissa Morey, all of Allegan; 3 grandchildren, Megan, Casey, and Anthony; mother, Joyce Szabo of Allegan; 1 brother and his wife, Dustin and Jennifer Morey of Wisconsin; 1 sister and her husband Lisa and Jeff Hopkins of Allegan; father-in-law, Don (Pam) Shears of Cedar Springs; mother-in-law, Judy (Stan) Bickel of Mendon; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Morey, stepfather, Robert Szabo, and grandparents, Les and Eunice Haist. Friends may meet with the family from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where funeral services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. Rev. G. Patrick White officiating. Interment Mallory Cemetery, Trowbridge Twp. Memorial contributions may be given to the family.
