Carol Jean (Martell) Kolnowski, 69, of Herron, MI, passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2019 at Covenant Healthcare-Saginaw, after battling various illnesses.  She was born on November 10, 1950 to Tom and Margie (Baker) Martell in Alpena, MI.  

Carol was a graduate of Alpena High School Class of 1968.  She attended Alpena Community College and had worked at Fletcher Paper Mill until it closed in 2000.  She also had certifications for a Massage Therapist, a Nutritionist, and a Tai Chi Instructor.  

Carol is survived by her husband of 47 years, Mark; two sons, Tony (Jody) Kolnowski and Josh (Jessica) Kolnowski, both of Alpena; three grandchildren; four brothers, Terry, Steve, Allen and Scott Martell; two sisters, Julie Eller and Beth McKinnon and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by both parents.

Family will receive friends for visitation at McWilliams Funeral Home on Friday, November 22, 2019 from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m.  Visiting hours will continue on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m. with the  Rev. James Fitzpatrick officiating.
