James Earl Nehring, 68, of Alpena, died Sunday, December 3, 2017 at MidMichigan Medical Center-Alpena, of congenital heart failure. 

He is survived by three children, Diana Johnson, James, and Kate (Robert) Dare; three grandchildren; girlfriend, Mary Ann VanSipe; a brother, Billy Nehring; sister-in-law, Candace Nehring; and ex-wife, Patricia (Steve) Wilcox. 

A Memorial Service will take place in the spring of 2018.  Cremation arrangements have been handled by Bannan Funeral Home, Alpena.
