Susan "Tootie" M. Weinkauf, age 71, of Alpena, MI, passed away January 9, 2022.  She was born on February 2, 1950 to the late Archie and Violette Lewandowski.  

After graduation in 1968, she attended Alpena Community College and WMU.  She married Walter Weinkauf Jr. on July 28, 1972 at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Alpena, MI.  

After 46 years of enduring severe rheumatoid arthritis, she was always determined, no matter how sick she was.  When anyone else would have broken, Susan stayed strong. Through her, we know what resilience and perseverance truly look like.

Susan is survived by her husband, Walter Jr., and beloved daughter, Jennifer of Chicago, Illinois.  Also, three sisters and a brother-in-law as well as several nieces and nephews survive.  She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Grace Lobel.
