Timmie Lewis was 29 and working as a rookie Firefighter for the City of Alton when he and Captain Gary Porter were both killed fighting a blaze.

I went to grade school with Timmie at Thomas Jefferson and later to high school with him. I remember that he was always kind of a Southern Gentleman, very soft spoken and kind hearted. He was sweet and fun to be around. We'll miss Timmie at the reunion, as we do always.
