From Jane Ready Hill:  " Sad day for us. . . She was a very sweet woman and girl."

Another passing.  I see that, as I write these words, the funeral service is about to begin.  If I were anywhere near there, I'd be attending.  I still remember JoAnn coming  to take a piano lesson from the woman who was teaching me how to play the organ.  That was back in the autumn of 1956, I believe.  We were also in the same English class that fall.  Rest in peace, JoAnn.  Sorry I didn't get to see you since graduation.

I am so sorry to learn of JoAnn's passing.  She was such a good person with always a smile on her face.  I remember asking her to be on the Marching100 drill team line our senior year.  Sandy Manns and I were featured twirlers and we started a drill team with Martha Ready and JoAnn responsible for gettting their uniforms.  What a time we had.  I remember JoAnn working at Fashion Lane dress shop at Washington and College.  She was always so stylish.  She was a neighbor as well and our mothers, Nellie and Lois, worked at Goldman's market on Highland Ave.  Stub Goldman was JoAnn's uncle.  I posted a picture of JoAnn taken at the 55th reunion on my profile page.  Don't know how to transfer it to this page.  I remember JoAnn's slumber party at her grandmother's house down the street on Diamond.  So many memories have flooded back on our friendship.  My best to her family.  Priscilla Petersen Harris.
