Comments:

After law school and the Army I settled in Seattle for a varied career in public policy positions and law practice.

In 2002 I left the public sector and started a consulting and mediation business. That effort was cut short by a bout with non-hodgking lymphona in 2004. By the time I finished chemotherapy I closed my office and retired.

I was gradually getting stronger when lightning struck again in 2009 - this time non-curable lung cancer. I still am getting chemotherapy.

As a result, I deeply regret that I can not attend the reunion. I really wanted to be there but will be there in spirit.

I have really enjoyed connecting with some of you through this web site. I thought I would be able to catch up with many of you at the reunion. Instead, please do not hesitate to contact me here.

Thank you, Martha, and the reunion committee for doing a great job. I will look up your son the next time I'm anywhere near Twisp!

Best regards to all of you.

School Story:

After two great years at West Jr I looked forward to AHS and many new friends. Instead it was to that other Upper Alton school that has been long closed - WMA.

I note this to thank all you for allowing me to be part of your 50th reunion and to express my sadness at the loss of so many friends and acquaintances from the years at West.
