Ken Kloos

Kenneth Lee Kloos, 82, passed away peacefully at 7 p.m. on Sunday, January 5, 2025, at Casa Mora Nursing Home in Bradenton, FL. Born April 7, 1942, in St. Louis, MO, Kenny was the son of the late Kenneth and Verneil Annabelle (Lee) Kloos. He married Charla Buck on July 2, 1966, after which they resided in Alton, IL until work transfers moved them and their young family to Michigan then California. They lived many years in Laguna Hills, CA. Kenneth resided at their long-time family condo in Bradenton Beach, FL near the end of his long life.
Kenneth served in the United States Army to September 20, 1971, and later led a fulfilling career selling industrial gases until his retirement in 2016. After a life of hard work and dedication to his career and family, Kenny enjoyed his retirement years in Florida.
Charla preceded him in death (December 2, 2019). Surviving are his three sons, Eric Kloos of David, Panama, Chris Kloos (Raschel) of Vista, CA, Ben Kloos (Kelly) of San Juan Capistrano, CA and several grandchildren; as well as one sister, Susan Kloos of Washington, D.C. Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Andrew Kloos.
A private burial took place at Upper Alton Cemetery in Alton, IL, under the care of Gent Funeral Home. The family is planning a gathering to celebrate Kenny's memory in mid-2025. To share memories or condolences guest book may be found at www.gentfuneralhome.com.
