James M. "Jim" Seifrit died of heart disease at a New Orleans LA hospital in the summer of 2012. Jim was born August 2, 1941 to Clarence and Dorothy Mae Seifrit. His father predeceased him but his mother died in Alton, September 2015. 

Jim's third wife, of 28 years, Laura suvives, as do his children, David, Stacy, Brian, and his step-daughter, Heather. He is also survived by grandchildren Chasidy, Crystle, Jon and Kaylee, and one great grandchild Bryce Ashlyn. 

Jim served in the United States Marine Corps.

At the time of his death, Jim lived in Marrero LA where he was retired. He had suffered from heart disease for several years prior to his death.
