She was a friend, born the same day as I, and suffered greatly in her life. Still, in many ways, she was a beacon for others.  Sue was important to me at Alton High, and her example has inspired me since my reconnection with my classmates on this site.  I was hoping to see her again this side of heaven.

Sue and I did not get to know each until we corresponded on the web site during the 40th. reunion. She came to that reunion, someone said she was there, but I had to help finish up with last minute details and by the time I got back to talk to her she had left, after only a short time, so I did not get to see her then. We once again corresponded with each other during the 50th. reunion days. She did not get to go to the mixer as she spent that night in the Emergency room, so I missed her again. I talked to her over the web again and said maybe we could meet up at the Senior center as it was just down the street from where she lived. Time went by and then I learned of her death, so we never did get to meet in person, I wish I had not drug my feet.

If any of you who read this have anyone you would like to talk to, apoligize to or just see again, do not wait, get it done quickly as we are the vanishing population now.

Sue, I am sorry we never meet in person, but I am glad that after all the years that went by after our school days, that we did get to kind of know each other.

Rest in Peace

Larry
