David Glenn Ellington, 69, passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2011.
He is survived by his lovely wife, Sharon; sons, Marc and Bobby; grandson, Ryan Matthew; brothers, Jerry (wife, Charlene) and Tom (wife, Kaye); and sister-in-law, Ruthann Starr (husband, Mark).
Born in Alton, where he graduated with honors from nursing school and married his college sweetheart. He then moved to Memphis, Tenn., with his family and in-laws, where he started a career in sales. In 1975, he moved to Nashville to start his luminous and expansive sales career in the safety industry. His latest position was with Care Safety, LLC. His generous and loving spirit will be missed by all. He never met a stranger and his humor always won others over. He will be sadly missed and loved by his families and friends - Nashville lost a shining star!
A celebratory memorial service will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
