          Dorothy Ann Gonzales, 63, died at 8:55 p.m. Tuesday, June 14, 2005, at VIP Manor Nursing Home in Wood River.

            The former Alton resident was born April 22, 1942 in Hillsboro to Dennis and Dorothy (Zimmer) Kozatos. She graduated from Alton Senior High School in 1960.

            She married Joseph Gonzales on Jan. 24, 1970. He died March 4, 1991.

            She is survived and will be greatly missed by twin sisters and a brother-in-law, Helen Kozatos and Mary and Hobart Vantreasse, all of Alton; another sister and brother-in-law, Junita and Franklin Guffey of Alton; a brother and sister-in-law, James and Darlene Kozatos of Wood River; several nieces and nephews; other extended family; and friends.

            In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Nellie Bass and Alma Kozatos.

            Private family services were at the Staten-Fine Funeral Home in Alton with a private family graveside service officiated by the Rev. John Kessler. A dove release in her memory followed at a later date.
