Mrs. E. Earlene Plummer, 30, of Rte 1, Alton, died at 11:40 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, 1973 at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis after an illness of several months.
She was employed as a checker at Krogers in the Alton Plaza and belonged to the
First Baptist Church in Fosterburg. Mrs. Plummer was a member of the Fosterburg PTA and the Mother’s Club.
She was born March 9, 1942 in Alton, the daughter of Mrs. Edna M. King and the late Earl Otto King. She attended Alton schools and Southern Illinois University, Alton campus. On Sept. 29, 1962, she married Thomas W. Plummer in Alton.
Surviving are her husband, Thomas; a daughter, Shonna Lynn, at home and a son, Christopher Paul, at home. Also surviving are three brothers, Jerry King of Godfrey, David King of St. Louis and Robert King of California.
There was no visitation. Funeral services were held at the First Baptist Church in Fosterburg with the Rev. Clinton Sweet officiating.
Burial was in Valhalla Memorial Park. The American Cancer Society has been named as a memorial. Quinn and Son Funeral Home was in charge.
