NAPERVILLE –

David F. Rhoads, 53, died Saturday, July 15, 1995, at Edward Hospital in Naperville, Ill. Born March 7, 1942, in Alton, he was the son of the late Roy and Frances Rhoads.

A Naperville resident since 1979, he was a graduate of Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville and served in the U.S. Air Force from 1964 to 1967.

He was the former president of A.J. Oster Co. and Opus Metals. He was a member of Naperville Country Club, St. Margaret Mary Parish and an avid sports fan.

Surviving are his wife, Jeanne; two daughters, Jennifer Ann and Courtney Jean, both of

Naperville; two sisters, Edith Lovato of East Alton and Mary Christian of Alton; a brother, Lemuel Rhoads of Toledo, Ohio; numerous nieces and nephews; and his mother-in-law, Nina Henkhaus Klinke of East Alton.

He was preceded in death by a brother, William Rhoads, a sister, Doris Miccicci, and an

infant daughter, Julie Ann.

Visitation was available at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville.  The funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 19, at St. Margaret Mary Church, 1450 Green Trails Drive, Naperville. Burial was at Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery, Naperville.
