I learned of my cousin Ron's passing this morning, from my friend Roger Cooke. Roger had seen it in the Telegraph Obituaries. Ron was about two months older than me and we were quite close as youths. We had a lot of fun together, sang well together and could have pursued it; perhaps we should have done so. I visited with him/them for almost two weeks in 1957, when they lived in Deroit. You may read or already knew that he was an electrician, as was his father. Ron and I remembered fondly, going to a concert in Deroit for only $5.00 each...featuring Fats Domino, JackieWilson and Paul Anka (who was only 16).

He had difficulties as we grew older, primarily that his parents did not agree with his choice of his life partner, with whom he stood. They were good together and for each other, through his life. I am pleased that she survives.

We talked from time to time through the years, while I lived in Virgina and Colorado. He stayed closer to home and also spent time on Florida's Gulf Coast.

I offer my sincere condolences to Flo and all of their family.

R.I.P. Ronald Wayne Nelson
