Mary Lou Pfeifer (Behringer)

Mary Lou (Pfeifer) Behringer, 57, died Saturday, May 30, 2009, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis from complication of breast cancer.

She was the daughter of Francis and Pauline ( Michael) Pfeifer and was born on July 9, 1951, in Springfield, Ill.

On July 29, 1987, she married Dan Behringer. 

Besides her husband she is survived by one daughter, Angie, and her husband, Jacob Camp, of Jerseyville; four sons, John and (Brenda) Pfeifer of Godfrey, Joseph (Tabitha) Dumey of Missouri, Ray Huber of Roxana and Daniel M. Behringer of Jerseyville; two brothers, John and (Tammy) Pfeifer of Jerseyville and Paul and (Joan) Pfeifer of Godfrey; one sister, Jane and (Bill) Pollard of Sarasota, Fla.; eight grandchildren and one great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one granddaughter, Megan Dumey. 

Visitation was held at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Brighton with Father Raphael Paul officiating. Burial was at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Godfrey.
