Lane, you always were the class clown and were so creative. I remember how clever you were and quick witted. That talent carried over into your amazing career. I truly enjoyed your documentary about the "Circus Train" Linda Brunner Mauck
You were my neighbor and my friend. I remember going to your 5th or 6th birthday party and we were all facinated by the extensive model trains you had all over your basement. No one wanted to leave when the party was over. I also remember how all the neighborhood kids would go sleigh riding from the top of Blair hill down to Langdon... probably dangerous, but our parents seemed glad to get us out of the house!
In high school I used all of my babysitting money on a big clunky transitor radio one summer. I was so disappointed when it broke (granted, it got LOTS of use), and I was elated when you said you'd "look at it". You were able to fix it allowing me to continue a teenage girl's mandatory appearance of looking "cool at the pool".
I also remember how you used to call me "Alice" just to be different and tease me.
We will miss you at the reunion-- no question you would have had us all laughing.
