Obituary for Mr. Anthony Keith Caldwell

Anthony K. Caldwell (AKA Tony) was the last child born to Vasser Jr. and Gladys Caldwell. He was born on January 27, 1957, in Alton, Illinois.
Tony save his life to Christ at an early age and participated in several auxiliaries. As a vouch in Alton, he belonged to several organizations. As he became a grown man he lived in various cities throughout the United States, he became a member of each church wherever he lived and participated in various auxiliaries at those churches.
His current membership was at St. John Baptist Church Unleashed in Grand
Prairie, TX under the leadership of Pastor Denny Davis.
Tony received his education with the Alton School District, graduating from Alton St. High School in 1975. He then attended Illinois State University and there he pledged and became a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity.
Tony retired from American Airlines after many years of service. He moved to Baltimore, MD and worked with the Omni Hotel until he decided to move back to Dallas-Fort Worth.
Anyone who knew Tony knew that he loved life and lived it to the fullest. Just like pearl, he was one of a kind.
He loved his family and friends. His nieces and nephews loved him so much! He considered them his kids! They were all special to him, as he was special to them.
Tony transitioned to his Heavenly home on the morning of Thursday, October 19, 2023.


He was preceded in death by his mom, Gladys Caldwell, his dad, Vasser Caldwell Jr., brother in-law Leotis Hughes, sister,Ramona Webb, maternal and parental
grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousin, and friends.
He is survived by two sisters, Cynthia Johnson and Pamela Hughes; two brothers, Raymond (Grace) Caldwell, and Vasser (Jennett) Caldwell Ill, six nieces, Melissa (Mark) Statun, Heather Brown, Tobe' Johnson, Brandi Caldwell, Mikaila (Larry) Dukes, and Brianna Hughes; five nephews. Jason Madison, Willie Johnson Ill, Leighton Caldwell, Vasser Caldwell IV, and Brandon Hughes ; 23 great nieces and nephews, four great great nephews, special brother James (Pam) Dossett, several special friends (you know who you are!); and a host of family and friends.
