Alton- Carl Arnett Madison III was born July 11, 1957, in Alton Illinois, to the union of the late Carl A. and Ruth (Ingram) Madison, Jr.
Carl was a strong believer in Jesus Christ our Savior and joined St. John Missionary Church under Pastor J.P. Wright, at an early age; later in life, he became a member of Deliverance Temple under Dr. Gregory Harrison.
During Carl's last year of high school, he worked at Sears in Alton, Illinois. After graduating a year early from Alton Senior High School in 1974, he entered the U.S. Air forcce in 1975 and was stationed at Chanute Air Force Base in Chanute, Illinois. He was a proud and honorable veteran. He attended Lewis & Clark Community College and B.A.C., were he studied computer and electronics.
Mr. Madison's employment consisted of a guard at Joliet Prison, and a Youth Coordinator at the Catholic Children''s Home, where he inspired youth to be their very best.
Carl at the age of 61, recieved eternal rest on September 1, 2018, at 7:15 p.m. at Saint Louis University Hospital with his family by his side.
He was preceded in death by parents; son; Brandon Madison, a sister, Carla A. McClain, two brothers, James E. "Jimmy" Ingram and Darrell A. "Tony" Madison.
Carl is survived by: three daughters, Ryeisha Madison, Chandra Madison, and Elnora Roland; two sisters, LaVonda F. (Madison) Jones and Alicia F. (Madison) Chambers; a constant and dear companion, Patricia Woods, and a pet, who he dearly loved, Tink; four grandsons, Aza, Hezekiah, Josiah and Gabriel; two special friends, Steeve Harrison and Michael Wheeler; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will convene Saturday, Sept. 8, 2018, from 10 until time of service at 11:30 a.m. at Deliverance Temple C.O.G.I.C. Dr. Gregory L Harrison will officiate. Cremation rites will be accorded, per his request. Online registry is available at http:www.harrisonfuneralchapel.com
