Godfrey - Christopher S. Sutton, age 64 died at 7:14 am on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at his residence. He was born in Alton on February 11, 1957 the son of the late Joseph and Welda "Sue" (Matthews). Chris was currently a regional ombudsman for Senior Service Plus in Alton. He married the former Julia (Keller) on April 27, 1990 in Alton and she survives. Surviving are one daughter; Emily Jackson (Tyler) of Godfrey, one son; Max Sutton (fiancé Rachelle Mittleider) of Alton, one grandson; Jaiden, one sister; Jan Harmon of Los Angeles, California, nieces; Julia and Natalie and two close cousins; Ron Horn and Patricia Rehkop.

A memorial visitation will be Friday, September 3, 2021 from 4:00 – 8:00 pm at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. Memorials may be made to Hope Rescues or Senior Service Plus. Online guestbook and additional information may be found at gentfuneralhome.com
