Hello Arlene, See you have a birthday in a few days. Sending Happy Birthday wishes for a wonderful day. Hope you and your Hubby are doing OK. It is not easy being 85. Take care
Happy Birthday Elizabeth, Enjoy your special day
It was really sad to see Jim's obituary in the Altoona Mirror. So many good memories of Jim throughout our school times. I was wonderfing if you all remember the series that was on TV when we were in Junior HIgh. It was called Spin and Marty. We all watched it and Jim became SPIN. Everytime I ever saw him that was what I called him. He was a special man , so kind and caring. Does anyne remember who we called Marty? I cannot remember who that was. A sweet a fun memory of Jim. RIP my friend.

Happy Birthday Dee, Hope you had a wonderful birthday
Bob was a good friend and he will be missed. I got to start each year of Birthdays for our class with
his birthday on January 1. There was a beautiful post on facebook from his daughter I thought I would share:
From his daughter Rachel Beck:
"Dad got to witness my very first breath on this earth, and yesterday I was blessed to be there for his last.
I can’t seem to find a picture of the two of us from those first moments of my life, but I have the memories of watching him meet my girls for the first time. Moments I will treasure forever. He loved my girls unconditionally and, honestly, I think he may have loved me even a little more once they came along.
There will be more to come as we begin to celebrate his life and all that he meant to our family. For now, I want to leave you with a quote from a friend who knows this pain all too well:
“Hug the ones you love, and don’t be afraid to tell someone you love them.”
Please do that. Life is fragile, and tomorrow is never promised. Hold your people a little tighter. Say “I love you” a little more. We love you Bob-Bob. ![]()
