Denny Appleby posted this on the AAHS Class of 1971 page on page 21 or the 40th CLASS REUNION discussion thread (Yes, the hyperlink is active):

“If you would even take the largest group, which would probably be the band, many of those people associated in smaller inner groups and did not know the whole band. Even if they congregated in a "cabana" together, they would still form into the cliques that they knew in the day. I'll guarantee you that "Barnum & Bailey's Favorite" is not going to spontaneously break out on kazoo's. (Note to band members: Needless to say, I never appreciated the band during my school years, probably due to the fact that I never understood the concept of music and could not make a piece of paper over a comb make a note. Years later, when I see the AAHS band play "Barnum & Bailey" on TV or in person, it chokes me up.....corny, but true. Kudos to the band people put in that time and effort back in the day !!!)”

I told him not put too much money on that bet… well, maybe not kazoos, but I will play “Number1 and Number 2” at some time during the reunion (“our” reunion or the class reunion…).

It’s very cool to know that, 40 years later,  we still have an effect on folks…
