
William W. ‘Bill’ Martin

William W. “Bill” Martin, 67, formerly of Altoona, passed away on April 5, 2021, at his residence in Southern California after a long battle with cancer. He was a son of the late Walter and Doris Martin.
Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Susi; a sister, Kathy Montgomery; and a brother, Kent Martin.
Bill was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Temple City, where he served as the teacher of the “Shepherd’s Flock” Sunday school class.
He was a 1971 graduate of Altoona Area High School and a 1975 graduate of Penn State University where he majored in biology.
Following his graduation from college, he embarked on a cross country bicycle trip that began on the East Coast and continued to the coast of Northern California and eventually to the Pasadena area, where he resided for most of his adult life.
Bill was the owner of his own apparel company which specialized in custom design and screen printing.
He was an avid stock car racing fan and competed as a driver at several local tracks near his California home.
A memorial service will be held at the First Baptist Church of Temple City in California on Saturday, June 5, 2021.
