Patrick Joseph “Pat” O’Connor, 67, Altoona, died early Thursday morning at his residence.

He was born in Altoona, son of the late Cyril R. Sr. and Mary Catherine “Kate” (Murphy) O’Connor. On Feb. 18, 1977, he married Cindy F. Rickabaugh in Altoona.

Surviving are his wife, Cindy; four children: Maureen Pelton (Joe), Stephen “Stevie” O’Connor, Matthew “Matt” O’Connor (Rachel) and Brent O’Connor (Danielle), all of Altoona; five grandchildren: Trevor, Kaydin, Bryson, Kacie and Bentley; and four brothers.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Maureen O’Connor.

He was a 1971 graduate of Altoona Area High School and was employed as a welder for Albemarle Corporation for over 25 years.

Pat enjoyed spending time with his only daughter. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing with his sons, Matt and Brent, watching Steelers football with his son Steve and grandson Bentley and spending time with his family. He enjoyed working alongside his son, Matt.

At Patrick’s request, there will be no viewing or funeral service.
