Joseph Paul Pulcinello, 68, Altoona, passed away Sunday at UPMC Altoona. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Nick and Jennie (Moschella) Pulcinello.

He is survived by two sons, Matthew J. and Paul J. Pulcinello; two grandchildren, Dominic and Giana Pulcinello; a sister, Patricia Meintel; special nephew, Erik Mentzer; and longtime friend, Lou Page.

Joe was a 1971 graduate of Altoona High School and received a Paralegal degree from Harrisburg Community College in 1980. He worked for Penn Central, Conrail and Norfolk Southern.

Joe enjoyed baseball. He managed an 8th Ward baseball team in the 1970s, coached Little League for Long’s Tile, and won a championship in 1970.

He was a big fan of the Steelers, Pirates and Notre Dame, as well as a baseball fan. He was a member of the Bavarian Hall.

Joe was a member of St. Mark’s Catholic Church, Altoona.

A private visitation will be held at the convenience of the family.

Friends will be received at the 11 a.m. funeral Mass Thursday, March 3, 2022, at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, Altoona.
