Dennis L. Showers, 60, Elyria, Ohio, died Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014. He was born in Erie and grew up in Altoona. Surviving are his wife of 32 years, Mary M. (Miller); two sons: Capt. Brandon Showers of Marine Corps Air Station New River, Jacksonville, N.C., and Sgt. Corey Showers of Richlands, N.C., both currently serving in the U.S. Marine Corps; and a sister, Sandra Keller of St. Simons Island, Ga. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald L. and Marie C. (O'Neil) Showers. Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Bogner Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, North Ridgeville, Ohio, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 9, 2013.
